Spring Equinox: The real new year

Wow, the last time I blogged was on the Winter Solstice, and today is the Spring Equinox. That’s not at all how I planned it, but amazing that things turned out that way.

In a very real sense, I’ve been in the dark of winter. Not because I’ve been depressed, and certainly not because I live in a cold wintery place. The truth is, I’ve been working diligently behind the scenes to get my health, my life, and my business in tip top shape so I can re-emerge in the brightest and most nurturing capacity possible. It felt good to put my constant communication on hold and get focused. I am so excited for the weeks and months to come!

Spring is a time for clearing space, planting seeds, and creating the optimal conditions for them to flourish and bloom. Though culturally we tend to focus on the new year as our time to set goals, resolutions, and intentions, I actually think Spring is far more appropriate. There’s a fresh energy in the air and emerging within, that invites you to make strong declarations for what you are manifesting in your life at this time.

I invite you to spend some time over the next couple of days in reflection of what your intentions are for the remainder of this year. Some questions to ponder:

  • What do you want more of?
  • What do you want to achieve?
  • What do you want to create?
  • What are you releasing?

Answer these questions and then turn them into “I am” statements, as though you’ve already accomplished all of it. For example:

  • I am prioritizing my self-care every single day.
  • I am living in abundance and prosperity as a result of ………….
  • I am nurtured and cared for.
  • I am the owner of a thriving business.
    etc, etc.

Write it down and place this statement or statements somewhere sacred to you, and somewhere that you will see it and read it everyday. Read it first thing in the morning and right before your go to sleep at night. You’ll be amazed at how good it feels, and the very real impact that it has on your life.

Remember to clear space for your intentional seeds to grow! Go through that pile of paperwork on your desk that you’ve been avoiding (I’m talking to myself here!), clear out your garage, send those bags of clothes and shoes to goodwill, or do a gentle dietary cleanse. Notice I say OR instead of AND. If you try to do too much you might feel overwhelmed and discouraged. Pick one Spring cleaning activity to start with and see where it goes from there.

Happy Spring Equinox! I am thrilled to be back in touch and look forward to sending you lots of new goodies over the coming weeks.

Energize your intentions by sharing them in the comments below. Making declarations out-loud to the Universe increases your level of accountability and allows others to hold your intentions in the highest light. Let’s all support each other!

With love,
Sasha

  1. I have re-read your Winter Solstice email so often, and I will keep this one, as well. After going through a difficult
separation that has led me to much evaluation, I am ready to be nurtured and cared for. Thank you, Sasha, for you.
