How to Expand Abundance

All too often we think about what we want in the context of what we don’t have.

 

“I want to go shopping!” Underlying thought: I have no clothes. My wardrobe sucks.

 

“I want to go on vacation, but I don’t see how that’s possible anytime soon.” Underlying thought: I have too much work to do and not enough money, therefore, no time off for me.

 

“I want a boyfriend.” Underlying thought: I’m lonely. I have no one to hang out with. (Ok, I know there’s more to this, but just hang with me on this one. You’ll see what I mean…).

 

All of the underlying thoughts are thoughts of lack. Therefore, they are of a low vibration and will not attract the outcome you desire, which is abundance! You want to feel full, you want to feel satisfied, you want to feel like you have access to absolutely everything you want and need and more!

 

Well guess what? You DO have all of that right now. And the more you can recognize that, the more you’ll be able to tap into the high vibration of abundance, which will only bring more abundance into your life!

 

Here’s what I mean.

 

This morning I thought, “Yay, it’s finally getting chilly here. But man, I’d really like some new winter clothes.” I felt my mind shifting into lack mode, thinking of everything I don’t have.

 

So I stopped myself in my tracks and decided that step one was to go through my closets and create new and beautiful outfits from what I already have. Basically, refresh my perspective and see that I have an amazing wardrobe with so many fun selections. This idea got me excited.

 

Then, as I was driving to meet a friend for lunch, I realized I had a few dresses in a garment bag in the back seat that I’ve been driving around with me since I did a massive closet clearing a couple months ago. Most of the clothes went to Goodwill, but I set a few pieces aside to see if I could sell them. Something I’ve never done before.

 

After lunch I went to my favorite second hand shop.  They took 2 of the dresses and I opted for store credit so I could turn right around and fulfill my desire to add some new items to my wardrobe. I acquired a gorgeous new sweater and a beautiful little Coach bag that, with my credit, came to about $30. Bam!

 

I was feeling massively abundant. And triumphant for my awesome find.

 

Came home with this high vibrational feeling, and feeling full of gratitude, only to find a beautiful butterfly card (I adore butterflies!), in the mail with a $100 bonus for having kicked ass in one of my businesses last month. More abundance!!

 

By opening my eyes to what I already have, then seeing simple solutions for acquiring what I desired, more came my way than I expected. So beautiful.

 

Going back to my original examples, here’s how you can put this idea into action and expand abundance in your life…

 

  1. Wanting more clothes:

 

Clear out your closets. Give away what you no longer want. Select some good condition pieces to sell. And style a whole new wardrobe based on what you already have.

 

  1. Wanting time off:

 

Yes, vacations can be expensive. But maybe a staycation could be just as fun! You know when you have a visitor in town and suddenly your city is so cool again because you’re going to museums, exploring nature, and sipping wine at a French cafe? Schedule 2 full days of fun and relaxation in your hometown or nearby city. I guarantee you’ll feel refreshed and energized.

 

  1. Wanting your soul mate to appear:

 

If you’re noticing feelings of loneliness, and perhaps boredom, make plans with your friends. Get out and get busy. Enjoy the things you enjoy, and you never know who you might meet.  When you do, you’ll be buzzing with energy from all the fun you’ve been having, which will only make you more attractive and magnetic.

 

With all of these things, be sure you are constantly saying THANK YOU!! to the Universe for all that you have and all that is flowing your way. Feel the abundance expand from within, rather than searching for it from without.
